Looking for work is a full-time job

The CV consists of a list of jobs

Bulleted lists flatly lining up your previous jobs won’t get you very far. They show where you’ve worked, but not what you’ve done. “Instead, write about the skills you developed on different projects, or how your work influenced the development of the companies you worked for,” advises Lisa Kaye McDonald of Career Polish Inc.

Only one version of the CV is sufficient

There was a time when a single version of your CV, as complete as possible, ensured you many job interviews. Those days are over,” says Tonya Echols of Thrive Coaching Solutions. In large companies, the first analysis of your CV is done by an artificial intelligence that identifies the main keywords. It is therefore advisable to focus on the experiences and skills that are most useful for the position you are applying for. »
