Advise customers on work performed and condition of equipment; Repair electrical appliances and components; Replace faulty components; Refer to schematic drawings or product manuals to repair parts; Diagnose faults, using testing devices; Conduct voltage, resistance and other tests using electrical test equipment; Use shop equipment and specialized diagnostic and programming apparatus to repair, adjust and reprogram appliances

Equipment and Machinery Experience

Large household appliances

Additional Skills

Prepare written estimates of repair costs; Plan service routes; Read and interpret blueprints

Security and Safety

Driver’s validity licence check; Basic security clearance

Own Tools/Equipment

Tools; Steel-toed safety boots

Transportation/Travel Information

Vehicle supplied by employer; Valid driver’s licence

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Fast-paced environment; Handling heavy loads; Physically demanding; Ability to distinguish between colours; Standing for extended periods; Bending, crouching, kneeling
