Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate. Experience: Experience an asset. Work Setting: Women’s drop-in centre. Women’s shelter. Specific Skills: Develop, co-ordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community. Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients. Target Audience: Elderly. Children. Persons with mental health disabilities. Females. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Type of Community or Social Service: Personal and social adjustment and health (substance abuse, gambling, behaviour disorders). Socio-economic needs or conditions (housing, nutrition, unemployment, financial assistance). Services for the homeless. Health benefits: Health care plan. Disability benefits. Dental plan.
