Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks). Air Brakes Endorsement. Documentation Knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years. Additional Skills: Professionalism in customer service. Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Specific Skills: Report any malfunctions to supervisor. Operate various vehicles and equipment. Check, lubricate, refuel and clean equipment. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Security and Safety: Driver’s validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Own Tools/Equipment: Safety equipment/gear. Steel-toed safety boots. Gloves. Cellular phone. Work Site Environment: Wet/damp. Odours. Cold/refrigerated. Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence. Public transportation is available. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure. Physically demanding.
